Details about the PRC Dress Code for Takers of Board Exam
PRC DRESS CODE FOR BOARD EXAM – Here are the guidelines set by the Professional Regulation Commission when it comes to the takers’ attire.
In the Philippines, the body that conducts most of the licensure exams across the different professions is the Professional Regulation Commission. More popularly called PRC, it is the body that conducts most of the biggest licensure exams in the country as well such as the Licensure Exam for Teachers or LET, the Nursing Board Exam, and the different engineering board exams.
In taking the exam, one does not only have to prepare by studying, filing the exam application, and paying the board exam fees but as well as the PRC dress code prescribed. Before checking on what to wear, it would be best to know the attires that are not allowed by the Commission.
For Male Examinees
There are prohibited clothings set clear by the Professional Regulation Commission. For male board exam takers, here are the prohibited upper and lower wears including the footwear:
Upper Wear
- long sleeves
- polo shirts with collar but colored
- sando / sleeveless shirt
- open polo shirts with inner shirt
- colored T-shirts
- jackets (denim jacket, insulated vest, varsity jacket, fleece jacket, ski jacket, blouson, pea coat, duffel, overcoat, parka, etc.)
Lower Wear
- ripped pants
- checkered pants
- cargo pants
- jogging pants / jogger pants
- all types of shorts
- sandals
- slip-ons
For Female Examinees
For female board exam takers, here are the prohibited upper and lower wears including the footwear:

- long sleeves

- white polo shirt with collar (without any seal, logo or mark)
- decent pants or slacks
For Female Applicants
- white blouse or white shirt with collar (without any seal, logo, or mark)
- decent skirt or slacks
