Every year, thousands of students take the different board examinations conducted by the Professional Regulations Commission or more popularly called PRC. It administers most of the board exams in the different fields of studies.
In taking a board exam conducted by the PRC, you must qualify and apply for a licensure exam by submitting the required documents during the application period set by the government body. The Professional Regulations Commission has set an eligibility criteria in taking a licensure exam. To qualify to take a board exam administered by the PRC, the applicant must be:
- a Filipino citizen
- at least 18 to 21 years old
- of good moral character.
- a Graduate or a Holder of a Degree from a school, college or university duly recognized by the government
- free from conviction of an offense involving moral turpitude with final judgment by a court of competent jurisdiction
Furthermore, there are basic PRC board exam requirements that you need to prepare and submit to the Professional Regulations Commission in applying for a licensure exam. Here are the documents required by the Commission:
- Transcript of records (TOR) with scanned picture and remarks “For Board Examination purposes only”
- Birth Certificate from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) on Security Paper
- Marriage Certificate from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) for married women
- Four (4) pcs. passport size picture with complete name-tag in white background
- Government Issued ID and/or any valid ID
- Documentary Stamps
The Commission may be requiring additional documents apart from the PRC Board Exam requirements stated above.
