One of the biggest licensure examinations in the Philippines is the Licensure Exam for Teachers or more popularly called LET. It is conducted by the Professional Regulations Commission. Each board examination for education graduates never fail to gather thousands of takers across the nation. In fact, the takers of the recent board exam for teachers currently await the LET Board Exam Result September 2023 which may be released anytime now.

Thousands of LET takers are now quite anxious on whether they passed the board exam or not. Meanwhile, there is not better thing than to be on a positive mindset while conditioning yourself to move forward whatever the result is.

You might be one of the takers who are hopeful that you passed the licensure exam for teachers conducted last September. What to do after passing the LET Board Exam? You need to proceed with the initial registration and the oath taking. Here are the steps below:

Step 1 — After passing the LET exam, the first step is to proceed to the initial registration. It can be done through the PRC Online Services. Secure a copy of the oath form.

Step 2 — Prepare the requirements for the initial registration. You need to prepare the following documents:

  • Printed Oath form
  • Two (2) passport size pictures in white background and full name tag
  • Two (2) documentary stamps
  • Community Tax Certificate NOTE: Additional requirement maybe required by the Professional Regulatory Board.

Step 3 — Submit your documents for the initial registration. Go to the appointment place and submit your documentary requirements for the initial registration. Sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals. Make sure you bring with you some money for the initial registration fees:

For examinations requiring baccalaureate degrees:

  • Initial registration fee – P 600.00
  • Annual renewal fee 450.00 Total P 1,050.00

Step 4 — Wait for the posting of the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) regarding the schedule for the oath taking.

Step 5 — Make sure to attend the oath taking. The Certificate of Registration (COR) and the Professional Identification Card (PIC) are often released during the scheduled oathtaking of the new teachers.

In case you failed to attend the oath taking, you may request for a special or individual oath taking to the Board concerned. You will be asked about the reason behind failing to attend the mass oath taking scheduled by the PRC.
